ASI Jet Center Launches MSP Jet Center at International Airport
Posted: 11/20/2009
Minneapolis, MN - October 1, 2009 - With private and business aviation embattled by poor press and poor education of its use, contraction of the number of business aviation companies has been seen as many become insolvent or downsize. Because of this there has been a prevalent void in the greater Twin Cities area and the Upper Midwest for a mid and large-sized cabin maintenance facility. Worry no more. The inception of MSP Jet Center was announced on October 1st of 2009 to fulfill this need for the aviation community. MSP Jet Center will provide airframe and power plant maintenance to the private and business jet aircraft in the area as well as overhaul services for wheel and brake, battery, engine and components to other aviation operators. They also offer expertise in interior design and refurbishment along with exterior paint and detailing. “As long as I’ve been in this business, there has never been an opportunity like this for us to establish a jet maintenance operation at MSP airport,” said MSP Jet Center President, Tim Ashenfelter. “Even more exciting than this is the fact that the best people in the mid-cabin and large cabin maintenance arenas were also available due to General Dynamic Aviation Services (GDAS) leaving the Twin Cities. In the aviation maintenance business it’s all about the people. With Dan Henchal as our Director of Technical Services and the crew that he has put together we truly have the “Right Guys” in place. I am very excited about our new business at MSP and the opportunity to provide support to the Business Aviation community here in the Metro area and beyond!” Tim Ashenfelter is also President and Owner of Modern Aero, Inc. and ASI Jet Center at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, MN. “This is exciting for business aviation as a whole”, said Dan Henchal, Director of Technical Services of MSP Jet Center. “Since 1945, corporate aircraft operators visiting Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport have always had aircraft maintenance services available to them until this past June. We have had the opportunity, now, to assemble some of the finest, highly trained, "expert in their field" aircraft technicians in the industry; offering our customers world class aircraft maintenance with added value and quality second to none.” The doors are open for business at MSP Jet Center and the aviation community couldn’t be more enthusiastic. ### MSP Jet Center, LLC P) 612.727.2044
